In the summer of 2015, I studied for 6 intensive weeks in Lima, Peru on a Comparative History of Ideas (CHID) study abroad program. We met with political and art activists, performance artists, historians, museum curators, and many others to engage with Peru's culture and history through the lens of social justice and memory reconciliation. For my final project, I interviewed LGBTQIA+ Limeños to capture their thoughts about the growing fight towards LGBTQIA+ acceptance in Peru.
