I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington, where I double majored in Drama Performance (focus on acting) and the Comparative History of Ideas (a semi-elaborate way of meaning interdisciplinary humanities) with a minor in Diversity studies.
Throughout my childhood and subsequently in college, I've been on a mission: to write and produce impactful comedy. My passion and interest in comedy came from the monumental moment when I first saw Tina Fey impersonate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. The rest is history (especially Sarah Palin).
In college, I performed in several theatre productions, including Yellow Face, People Sitting in Darkness, and through his self-produced sketch comedy group, Racy Sketchy Sexy, a sketch comedy group with a commitment to original work that focuses on social issues and minority empowerment. After studying abroad in Peru my junior year, my passion for comedy, theatre, and producing magnified after engaging with art activists who dedicated their life to tackling political and social injustices through their art.
Although I aiming to become a professional comedy writer/performer, I'm very passionate about social justice, community building, teaching, and being an advocate for marginalized groups.
